Toyo Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. (Toyo India) has been
awarded a contract by Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. (NRL) for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and
Commissioning (EPCC) of a 3.55 MMTPA Diesel Hydro-treating (DHT) Unit at Numaligarh, District Golaghat
in Assam state of India.
NRL is a Public Sector Undertaking governed by the Ministry of Petroleum
and Natural Gas (Govt. of India). NRL is undertaking a major expansion project from 3 MMTPA to 9 MMTPA
consisting of several process units, which is part of Government’s Hydrocarbon vision 2030 for the
economic growth to meet the deficit of Petroleum products in North East India. This will be a single
largest investment in North-East India with total project cost of Rs. 28,026 Crore.
This contract is
secured on International Competitive Bidding (ICB) basis and is scheduled for mechanical completion by
Q1 of 2024.
This Diesel Hydrotreater unit will produce the Diesel confirming to BS VI specifications
by hydro treating a blend of refinery products. Honeywell UOP is providing the technology.
While
bagging this order for DHT, Toyo India has further consolidated its position as EPC player in Oil and
Gas sector and DHT in particular, with earlier project references of other PSU clients.
Toyo-I had
executed MS Project with NRL, back in 2006 on EPCM basis. By securing this new order, Toyo India is
proud to be re-associated with NRL in their ambitious growth plans
